A double or nothing in poker tournament is an online sit'n'go tournament where the surviving half of players gets double (x2) the buy-in and the eliminated half lose and does not receive any prizes. Double or nothing tournaments are mostly played by 10 players (5 players win) or 6 players (3 win), although there also exist multi-table versions, such as for 20 players. The rake in these tournaments is usually smaller than in standard sit'n'go tournaments. Some poker rooms also offer triple (x3) or nothing tournaments, where 1/3 of the playing field wins and gets paid.
